IT learning beyond the classroom
Join AIET’s IT community for technology discussions, shared computer work and the experiences that bring people together.
Bring your curiosity
From 25 to 27 September 2026, AIET’s IT community took part in technology event activities. Technology is easier to explore when you can ask a question, compare an idea and learn alongside other people. These experiences take that curiosity beyond the classroom.
Think together, then try
A notebook, a laptop and a conversation can be the start of something useful. Group sessions give people time to talk through a challenge, listen to another perspective and return to their work with a different question to explore. The photographs here capture those shared moments.
Make space for new ideas
Presentations and technology gatherings offer an opportunity to hear unfamiliar ideas and see what other people are working on. For our IT personnel and learning community, taking part is another way to keep asking questions and stay engaged with technology.
People are part of the experience
Working with computers does not have to mean working alone. Team photographs, shared breaks and a little humour are part of the experience too. They remind us that communication and friendship matter alongside the work on the screen.
Explore your next step in IT
If computing interests you, start with the task you want to learn to do. Explore AIET’s computing, programming and IT qualification options, then discuss the entry requirements and current intake with Admissions. Bring your curiosity and ask how the programme connects with your goals.
