Career Path

Understand your learning journey, know what quality checks mean for you, and explore possible career directions for every programme in our documented QCTO register.

Quality assurance of implementation: what it means for you

Quality assurance checks that the approved programme is delivered with the right curriculum, resources, support, records and assessments. QCTO and its quality partners may review records and monitor providers. Accreditation is the starting point; delivery and assessment must continue to meet the applicable requirements.

  1. Confirm your route

Before paying, ask Admissions to confirm the exact programme code, entry requirements, approved site, current enrolment window, total fees and whether AIET offers training, assessment or both for your route.

  2. Enrol and plan your learning

Keep your enrolment agreement and learner number. Ask for the timetable, curriculum, support arrangements and assessment plan. Existing credits or experience must be formally evaluated; they do not grant automatic exemption.

  3. Learn, practise and keep evidence

Complete the required knowledge, practical and workplace components that apply to your curriculum. Keep results, attendance records, portfolios and signed workplace evidence. Ask for help early if you need accessible learning support.

  4. Check progress and readiness

Internal assessments and feedback show what you have achieved and what needs more work. Before final assessment, the provider checks the required learning and evidence against the curriculum and assessment rules.

  5. Complete the required assessment

Occupational qualifications normally require the prescribed external assessment or trade test at an approved centre. Skills programmes follow their own assessment rules. Your training site is not automatically an approved assessment centre for every programme.

  6. Receive verified results and plan your next step

Certification follows the applicable QCTO process after the required results and records are verified. AIET does not issue QCTO certificates itself. Discuss employment preparation, further study or recognition of prior learning; jobs and progression are not guaranteed.

These are possible directions, not job offers, guaranteed progression or automatic professional registration. Further study and credit transfer depend on the receiving institution. Check the register and current intake before applying, especially where a programme or provider approval is nearing its end date.

Training approval and assessment approval are separate. The cards reflect the supplied register; they do not make additional accreditation claims.
