A new chapter in care: AIET’s Early Childhood Caregiver approval

AIET marks QCTO approval for Early Childhood Caregiver at NQF Level 1, adding a documented milestone to our journey of practical learning and community care.

A milestone worth recognising

Every new approval carries a responsibility to learners. AIET is pleased to share its QCTO Skills Development Provider approval for the Occupational Skills Programme: Early Childhood Caregiver. It is another documented step in connecting practical learning with the needs of our communities.

What the letter approves

The letter records Early Childhood Caregiver, SP-191219, at NQF Level 1 with 37 credits. Reference 07-QCTO/SDP091026124139 applies to 48 Woburn Avenue, Benoni. Its stated period runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2031, or until programme expiry or de-accreditation, whichever comes first.

The work continues after approval

Our next responsibility is careful programme implementation: learner support, sound records, appropriate resources and the required assessments. QCTO’s Road to Success guide separates accreditation, programme delivery and assessment. We use that distinction to explain our progress clearly.

Recognition with clear boundaries

This is a Skills Development Provider approval for the named skills programme and site. It does not establish assessment-centre approval for this programme, open an intake automatically or authorise AIET to issue QCTO certificates. The letter requires quarterly learner-data submissions and ongoing compliance.

A related update for Plumbing Hand

QCTO Circular 1 of 2026 covers only the skills programmes listed in its annexure. Plumbing Hand, SP-210403, is listed with registration ending on 9 March 2029, last enrolment on 9 March 2030 and last achievement on 9 March 2033. These programme dates do not extend AIET’s provider accreditation letter or apply to every course.

Thank you for walking this road with us

We thank our learners, staff and the people who support responsible skills development. The Pride of Education is a commitment to the work that follows each milestone. If Early Childhood Caregiver interests you, ask Admissions to confirm entry requirements, the curriculum, delivery timetable, available intake and a full quotation before enrolling.

Sources you can inspect

The provider guide and policy pack explain processes; they are not additional AIET accreditation letters. Check QCTO for the latest guidance. The new Early Childhood Caregiver programme is not listed in this circular.
