A proud day for care: AIET celebrates a new QCTO approval

AIET celebrates QCTO Skills Development Provider approval for Home Based Personal Care Assistant, NQF Level 2, at Swan Campus in Benoni.

A proud moment for Swan Campus

Today we celebrate a new chapter in AIET’s journey. The QCTO has accredited African Institute of Engineering and Technology as a Skills Development Provider for the Occupational Certificate: Home Based Personal Care Assistant at our Swan Campus in Benoni.

Care begins with respect for another person’s dignity. We are proud to mark an approval in a field that places people, everyday support and community care at its heart. To our staff, learners and the community who encourage our progress: thank you. This milestone belongs in the story we are building together.

Turning approval into meaningful learning

The approved qualification is at NQF Level 2, with 68 credits and SAQA ID 104779. The approval is specific to 18 Swan Street, Benoni. Prospective learners should ask Admissions to confirm entry requirements, curriculum components, the timetable, available intake and a full quotation before enrolling.

Our commitment after the celebration

Accreditation is a responsibility that continues through programme delivery. We remain committed to learner support, appropriate resources, accurate learning records and the prescribed assessment process. The letter requires quarterly learner-data submissions, ongoing quality-assurance compliance and prior approval for a change of training premises.

Keeping the scope clear

This letter is Skills Development Provider approval for the named Personal Care Assistant qualification and campus. It does not extend Health Promotion Officer approval, establish a new assessment-centre approval or authorise AIET to issue certificates itself. The stated accreditation period remains subject to qualification expiry or de-accreditation, whichever comes first.

The Pride of Education

We celebrate the work behind this outcome and look forward to the work ahead. Our ambition is to help learners build useful skills with care, purpose and pride. Join us in recognising this milestone, and speak to Admissions if you would like to learn more about the Personal Care Assistant route.
