Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clear payment, cancellation, transfer and non-refundable fee rules for AIET applicants and learners.

1. Policy statement

Important: Registration, application, administration, booking, assessment-booking, short-course, practical-access and programme payments made to AIET are treated as non-refundable once paid, processed, allocated or used to secure a seat, learner file, assessment, materials, timetable, practical access or administrative service, subject to applicable South African law and any written decision by AIET.

This policy must be read together with AIET’s Terms & Conditions, admission declaration, fee schedule and any programme-specific quotation or invoice issued to the applicant.

2. Registration fees

Practicals-only registration feeR1,000 once-off. Non-refundable once paid/processed.
Practicals-only monthly feeR2,000 per selected month. Monthly practical access and duration are confirmed according to the selected practical period.

3. Cancellations and withdrawals

Cancellation or withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to AIET Admissions with the applicant’s full name, ID/passport number, programme, campus and reason for cancellation. AIET may review whether a credit, transfer, deferment or written exception is appropriate, but no exception is automatic.

  • Registration, application and administration fees are not refundable once paid/processed.
  • Short-course booking and practical-access payments are not refundable once a seat, workshop space, assessment booking or practical slot has been reserved or used.
  • Books, PPE, uniforms, materials and third-party charges are not refundable once ordered, issued, allocated or used.
  • Any refund or credit approved in writing may be reduced by reasonable administrative, banking, material, booking, cancellation or used-service charges.

4. Programme changes or transfers

AIET may, at its discretion and subject to space, intake rules and academic suitability, allow a learner to transfer a paid amount to another AIET programme, practical block, intake or campus. Any transfer must be approved in writing by Admissions/Finance before it is valid.

5. Payment acknowledgement

Before submitting an application or admission form, applicants are required to acknowledge that they have read this policy. Confirmation emails may include a payment notice reminding applicants that payments are non-refundable once paid/processed, subject to applicable law.
